NJM Design was recently engaged to undertake a project with Porsche at their Brighton location. The clients’ premises consists of two titles and a single building. The extent for our works was to increase power capacity to provide electric vehicle charging while not introducing a substation on site.
A novel solution for all disciplines was required to retain different supplies from separate utility systems in one building. Demarcations ensured there was no return earth path between the titles, to the satisfaction of the electrical utility concerned.
NJM Design coordinated scope for architects, structural, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, civil and fire protection engineers to ensure discontinuity of electrically conductive elements between the titles boundary. We met the clients’ needs with minimal encroachment of usable floor space.
